To Almost Die For Suits...

Having seen the recent video for French fashion magazine Man About Town starring freestyle skateboarder Kilian Martin on Prepidemic, I was reminded of a video that Adam Kimmel commissioned to showcase his suits about 2 years ago. This insane film is directed by Ari Marcopoulos and features downhill riders Noah Sakamoto and Patrick Rizzo absolutely shredding the notorious Claremont hill. Woah...

Mouthful of Diamonds...

Phantogram are guitarist Josh Carter and keyboardist Sarah Barthel and this is the video to their opening track on debut album Eyelid Movies, which was released in February of last year. Describing their music as 'streetbeat, psych pop' the duo has opened for the likes of The xx, Yeasayer, Zero 7 and fellow Barsuk Records signees Ra Ra Riot.

I fell in love with this track and band last year and still find them consistently cropping up in various playlists of mine. Get on it.

Urban Artistry...

The above images are taken from an artistic project, back in 2006, entitled Metabiotics, by Brazilian graffiti artist and photographer Alexandre Orion. Orion would paint a piece of graffiti and wait with his camera, for unsuspecting passersby to interact with the art, at which point he would photograph the moment. The resulting images are at times darkly humorous and playfully reminiscent of UK street artist Banksy.
